Donate Cabin

If you would like to donate a log building on your property to be preserved by Agrarian Connections, please email Dr. Rhoades or call 706-542-1042. If possible, please send a photograph of the cabin and some idea about age and its history. We will discuss possibilities, including visiting the site and doing an assessment of possibilities. Our policy is to seek funds for reconstruction and name the reconstructed log cabin after the donor.

Membership Form

Dear Georgia Log Cabin Preservationist,

We want to extend an invitation to join the Georgia Log Cabin Project. To keep our preservation activities vibrant and growing, we need your support. Funds will be used to acquire and preserve historical log buildings or to provide information and support to others who wish to do the same. Please look over our membership categories and send your contribution made out to Agrarian Connections, attn: Georgia Log Cabin, 10 Legacy Rd., Crawford, Georgia 30630. If you wish to make your contribution tax deductible, please make out your check to Common Ground-Athens (a 501(c) 3 organization) or go on-line and contribute the appropriate amount to us.

ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP LEVELS

The Log Barn $15: Funds will be used specifically for restoring log farm buildings such as barns, smoke houses, root cellars and others.

The Log Cabin $25: Funds will be used specifically for research and restoration of log cabins in Georgia

The Log House $50: Funds will be used to rescue, preserve and reconstruct log houses in Georgia and adjacent states. This category will also include log school buildings needing attention.

The Big House $100: All members at this level, will receive a complimentary copy of the GPB documentary film “The Georgia Log Cabin” and a free guided educational tour of log buildings being reconstructed on Agrarian Connections Farm.

Georgia Log Cabin Lifetime Member $250 or more: This special membership will receive a copy of the GPB documentary film “The Georgia Log Cabin”, a free guided educational tour of the log buildings on Agrarian Connections Farm, and their names engraved on a plaque at the farm. Funds will be used to acquire cabins and reconstruct them at Agrarian Connections.
